Accessing PubMed Through Charles Drew University
Log-in using your CDU username and password to ensure access to CDU online articles when searching on PubMed.
Note: If you are accessing the library resources from off campus, review the Off-Campus Resource Guide for additional information for a successful experience.
1. Start your search by navigating to the library's homepage and selecting PubMed.
2. Enter your keywords for the topic you are searching.
3. Review the results retrieved for your search. Results are returned in the order selected under Display Options. The default is "Best Match". You may choose to retrieve results in chronological order with items added most recently appearing first by selecting "Most recent".
4. Click the CDU Library Journal Service button, if available, after reviewing the abstract and determining that the article fits your research topic. If the library has access to the article, the button will redirect you to the article in the CDU journal database, and you will see a link Go to Article. You will also see a link that reads Go to Journal if you would like to review the journal and browse for other content.
If CDU does not have access to the article, there will be a link to request an Interlibrary Loan(ILL). An Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a process where CDU Library requests the article from another library and emails a copy to you once it is received.
