FACULTY: COM and the Health Science Library have developed this Faculty Instructional Resources LibGuide to assist both new and established COM instructors. The LibGuide includes links to student United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE) and basic science study applications (p.1), National Board of Medical Examiners, (NBME) and USMLE instructor question and assessment writing aides (p.2), and publisher suppled curriculum assistance resources (p.3).

Instructors: CDU has licensed a suite of web-based specialty learning and training applications (8) to offer 24/7 support to our inaugural MD class. Access to these resources is restricted to COM faculty and First Year students
Please try out these resources and promote them to your students. The apps focus on the basic sciences, from Anatomy to Pathology and so on, culminating in USMLE Step 1 prep. The videos included here are generally student-oriented or overview introductions.
AMBOSS: a comprehensive USMLE learning platform, which includes a knowledge library that consists of basic sciences step 1, clinical knowledge step 2, clinical skills step 2, osteopathic medicine, and an on-call survival guide. The platform offers videos, cases in all medical disciplines, and an interactive question bank at pre-clinical and clinical student levels. It supports physicians in clinical decisions and provides patient education information and more. AMBOSS provides a mobile app that can be used offline to access the platform any time anywhere. Pathoma is an USMLE Step 1 study resource for pathology. These online videos utilize an outline format covering all major topics in pathology, integrated reviews of key concepts from associated disciplines. This is an excellent review resource for course examinations and board reviews with targeted attention to high-yield and highly tested material.
Sketchy: is a powerful visual learning platform designed to retain and apply context for mastering both preclinical and clinical information. The videos (most 10-30 min.) use humor and art to foster long-term information retention, recall, reduce study time, and introduce some fun. Sketchy creates stories around clever, memorable symbols associated with key information related to complex learning topics (Publisher text).
